Fluid Flow and the Production System Including Artificial Lift
Workshop Overview
A petroleum production system is composed of several major elements for the simple case of a single flowing well. While this representation does not reflect the complexity of a multi-well, it is adequate to illustrate the concepts involved that describe the production system. Each element in this system is related to every other element—the performance of one influences that of all the others, and in turn affects the overall performance of the well. Understanding these relationships, and using this understanding to optimize well performance, is the goal of production system analysis.
