Instrumentation and Process Controls for Oil and Gas Production Facilities
Workshop Overview
This intense, comprehensive, and practical course studies all aspects of instrumentation and process control with particular focus on the practical application of instrumentation principles and equipment used in oil and gas facilities. This course focuses on the practical aspects of managing, evaluating, selecting, specifying, installing, operating and trouble-shooting process instrumentation and control systems. A proper understanding of instrumentation and control engineering practices allows engineers to coordinate and execute instrumentation projects with contractors doing the work.
The course maintains a balance between lecture and in-class exercises and between theory and application. In-class work sessions are evenly distributed throughout the course to enhance the principles covered. In addition, each participant will receive an extensive set of practical in-class “case study” exercises that emphasizes the design and “trouble-shooting” pitfalls often encountered in the industry.
