Ship Shore Interface Management for Port and Terminal Operations

With growing demand for shipping and port services, increasing constraints on port space and capacity, rising customer requirements for quick ship turn-around time and cargo delivery, and stringent safety and regulatory procedures, the pressure is greater than ever on ship-shore interface systems to design and integrate their planning, operational and management processes towards extending operational capacity, reducing congestion delays and improving operational performance and productivity.

This is a high-level and intensive 3-day workshop targeted at port planners and managers, terminal operators, shipping and cargo interests, port agents and freight forwarders, maritime and port authorities, and maritime and cargo insurers. The workshop will enable the participants to acquire a deep understanding of ship shore interface systems and understand the various elements and processes involved in their planning, operations and management. The course will guide the
participants with the most up to date analytical, operational and digital solutions and strategies for an integrated and optimised management of ship shore interfaces at ports. In addition to lecture modules, the course will include practical applications, group exercises, two modelling assignments and several case studies.
