Workshop Overview
This 3-day course provides a comprehensive introduction to CCS and CO2 fluid modeling, focusing on key areas like CCS operations, software tools, and equations of state for CO2 fluids. Day one covers fluid model development, including the impact of impurities and phase behavior, with practical exercises. Day two shifts to flow model development, addressing pipeline sizing, insulation, and design integration. On Day three, the course dives into transient operations, such as shutdown, depressurization, start-up simulations, and pressure surge analysis, with a focus on real-time operational support and pigging.
During the course, case studies and exercises will be provided based on real CCS injection systems
